Part of Boston’s Metro West suburbs, Sudbury is located 30 minutes west of the city in Middlesex County. Originally inhabited by Nipmuc Indians, the town was incorporated in 1639.
Sudbury enjoys a rich a colonial history. The town’s ZIP code of 01776 was specially assigned in recognition of the town’s historical connections to the Revolutionary War. The Wayside Inn, which claims to be the country’s oldest operating inn, was featured in Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s 1863 Tales of a Wayside Inn. The poem The Landlord’s Tale was the source of the immortal phrase “listen my children and you shall hear, of the midnight ride of Paul Revere.”

Neighbor Brigade is a non-profit organization with community-based networks of volunteers to provide free assistance to neighbors experiencing sudden crises such as cancer treatment, illness, accident or other tragedy. Neighbor Brigade volunteers provide services such as home-delivered meals, transportation to and from medical appointments and home maintenance help.
